Honeywell’s UOP Baton Rouge facility is the world’s leading supplier of activated alumina and Versa™ alumina powders, the primary products used to remove contaminants from refinery and gas operations. The site is ISO certified and part of Honeywell’s Performance Materials and Technologies strategic business group.
Honeywell’s UOP pioneered the adsorbents industry more than 60 years ago with the invention of the first synthetic zeolites for use as molecular sieve adsorbents. Today, our product portfolio includes a wide range of adsorbents for the removal of contaminants such as mercury and sulfur compounds. In Baton Rouge, we have onsite research and development capabilities that allow us to fine-tune these leading-edge technologies so our customers’ operations run more efficiently and safely. For more than 60 years, our customers have been coming to us for these advanced, high-quality products.
As part of Honeywell’s overall commitment to safety, we operate under the principles of the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® program. This program is the foundation of health, safety and environmental excellence in our industry. Responsible Care fosters cooperation among chemical industry companies to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance, and to communicate with stakeholders about their products and processes.
